A man who carried out a horrific assault with an axe and an armed robbery in Westcliff on the same day has been jailed. Jamie Sherfield, 34, of York Road, Southend, received four years for robbery and four years for grievous bodily harm, to run consecutively, at Basildon Crown Court yesterday, Thursday, August 2.
