“The end is near,” narrates the voice of Thanos, the big bad faced by the Avengers & Co. in the new extended teaser for the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War.”
“We’re gonna need some help,” Tony Stark says — cue, Wakanda and the “Black Panther” squad.
The new spot features an emphasis on Wakanda, with Wakandan soldiers chanting “yibambe,” which is Wakandan — aka isiXhosa, a Buntu language — for “hold fast.”
Danai Gurira’s Okoye points out, “When you said we were going to open Wakanda to the rest of the world, this is not what I imagined,” as opponents storm their home.
“What did you imagine?” asks Chadwick Boseman’s King T’Challa.
“The Olympics,” she deadpans. “Maybe even a Starbucks.”
